The HD2 has an external microphone jack; has anyone tried any external mics yet? I've been looking but seems the decent ones are $150-250. The cheaper ones seem to be hit and miss as far as quality and if they will even work.

How would you even go about hooking it up? Drill a hole in the case?

Hi I bought an external mic cheap off EBay and a skeleton case for my race bike. It works very well. Just got problems with the gopro itself though.
    Cheers

I don't know of anyone that has tried. But I have not heard about anyone having trouble with them getting too cold except for people that have used weather balloons to launch them into space. And then I think they used the one use hand warmers.

What are your plans for the camera that you need a heater.
